What is AD Code Registration?

An Authorized Dealer (AD) Code is a 7 or 14-digit number issued by the bank where an exporter maintains a current account. It is mandatory to register this code with the Customs Department (on the ICEGATE portal) at every port from where you intend to export goods. Without AD Code registration, the Shipping Bill cannot be generated.

Benefits Explained

Once registered for a specific port, the AD Code has lifetime validity unless you change your bank account.
